Tab Trade - What It Is
TabTrade went live in March 2026. Online broker incorporated in Saint Lucia, regulated by the Financial Services Regulatory Authority. The guy behind it is Benjamin Boulter. Prior to TabTrade, he was a senior exec at BlackBull Markets, a FMA-regulated broker.
The BlackBull connection tells you something. It means the founder has actually done this before. Does not mean TabTrade is the same as BlackBull. Still preferable to a founder with no industry background.
TabTrade came out of the gate with Equinix LD4/LD5 connectivity. Same infrastructure institutional desks use. Usually a new brokerage starts with a white-label MT4 setup. TabTrade did the opposite. Unusual for a new broker.
Market coverage: FX, stock indices, gold, silver, oil, energies, softs, stock CFDs, cryptocurrencies, exchange-traded funds. A wide spread. For a platform that is a few months old, the breadth is solid.
The Software
Available: MetaTrader 5, cTrader by Spotware, and a browser platform. Two major platforms from the same login. Many commit to either MT5 or cTrader. Access to both makes a difference. Use whichever you prefer.
MT5 is the industry standard. Complete charts, Expert Advisors, tons of scripts and indicators. If you know MetaTrader before, you know exactly what you are getting.
cTrader by Spotware is the alternative. Better depth of market. Faster charting. cBot support. A lot of traders like it better than MT5 after comparing.
FIX API is available for bots but needs the VIP account ($25,000 deposit). TradingView charting is reportedly on the roadmap. That will round things out when it lands.
What You Pay
Three tiers: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard. Spread starts at 1.0 pips. No commission. Simple. Zero deposit requirement. Works for people who want simple pricing.
Edge. True raw pricing from 0.0 pips average. Flat commission of $3.50 per side. What you actually pay: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On EUR/USD, the actual interbank spread is often a fraction of a pip. So your actual cost per trade sometimes sits below 0.5 pips. That is good for a broker with $0 to start. Most brokers that have spreads this tight want $500 or more to open. This broker does not.
VIP account. $25,000 minimum. FIX connectivity, execution under 20ms, tailored rates. Not something most retail traders. Do not worry about it unless you trade institutionally.
Infrastructure
This is the thing Tab Trade stands apart. Equinix data centres. Sub-30ms execution on Edge. Under 20ms on VIP. Those are proper execution targets. The average platform quote a much wider range.
Does it matter? If you scalp, absolutely. The gap between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is profit or loss on tight trades. If you trade higher timeframes, you probably will not feel it. But the fact that the infrastructure is there. That is something about priorities.
Combine that execution speed with the Edge account pricing and the total package is strong. Few brokers at this price point have infrastructure at this level.
Safety
Here is the part you need to be straight about. TabTrade is regulated by the FSRA in Saint Lucia. That is offshore. No FCA. No investor compensation scheme. If that is a problem for you, look elsewhere. There are FCA-regulated options out there.
That said. The founder built his career at BlackBull Markets, a tier-1 regulated broker. The server placement costs real money. Scam brokers do not invest in Equinix connectivity. That does not make it safe. It should be part of your decision.
The trade-off: no FCA or ASIC safety net. For that: high leverage, raw pricing from 0.0 pips, no minimum deposit, Equinix execution. Whether this deal works comes down to your priorities.
The Bonus
Tab Trade offers a welcome bonus of up to two thousand dollars. Standard sign-up bonus. You put money in, TabTrade credit extra capital. Usual conditions attached: minimum lots traded before you can withdraw the bonus. Review the fine print before you deposit.
